Live from NPR News in Washington, I'm Windsor Johnston. Health officials in Gaza say four people were killed and dozens of others were injured after Israel carried out an attack on a hospital-turned-shelter for displaced Palestinians.
NPR's Hadil Al-Shachi reports first responders say this is the seventh time that the shelter has been struck since the beginning of the war. Videos filmed by witnesses at Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir el-Balah showed huge flames rising from the yard as fire ripped through tents sheltering thousands of displaced Palestinians. The Israeli military said it was targeting a Hamas command and control center operating inside the hospital.
It said it had used, quote, precise munitions to mitigate harming civilians. Umar Mohamed Wadi is displaced in the hospital with her family. She told NPR's Gaza producer Enes Baba she was still in a state of shock. I found the tent blazing with fire, she said. I woke up to pick up my daughters to rescue them. Former President Donald Trump made a campaign stop in Nevada over the weekend. In Las Vegas, he made a direct pitch to Latino voters, the largest minority group in the state. Christopher Alvarez from member station KNPR reports the appeal came ahead of early voting in the state, which begins this week.
Recent polling by UnidosUS found that 76% of Latino voters in the U.S. are concerned about the U.S.-Mexico border. Wendy Flores of Las Vegas is one of those voters, and she believes illegal border crossings are dangerous for migrants. They're coming for the American dream, but it's their encountering getting kidnapped and killed is hurting our Hispanics.

Speaking in Greenville on Sunday, Harris took aim at former President Donald Trump questioning his ability to hold another term in office. One must question. One must question. Are they afraid?
