Christmas is just over a week away and you may be one of the millions of Americans still shopping online, hoping to beat those pesky shipping deadlines.

But be careful what you click. Scammers are lurking and finding new ways to rip people off.

It's even easier for them when we're in a hurry or distracted especially when we're online.

The FBI's Internet crimes report for 2022 says Americans lost a total of more than 280 million dollars last year just to internet scams, including the kinds that pop this time of year.

This past week, FOX News Rundown host Lisa Brady spoke with the Director of PR and Social Media at the Better Business Bureau Melanie McGovern.

McGovern discussed how to avoid getting scammed for the holidays and offered tips on how to avoid fake ads and fraudulent charities.
