Military recruitment numbers are at the lowest recorded levels in several years, with only 9 percent of young people in the United States saying they would consider joining the armed forces. Some are turning their attention to various requirements that make many Americans ineligible for service. As recruitment goals lag, military leaders are now seriously considering easing their enlistment requirements. Lawmakers too are seeking to relax guidelines, more recently targeting policies surrounding marijuana use and height and weight requirements for certain branches. Marine veteran and FOX News contributor Johnny Joey Jones joins the Rundown to discuss why the military needs to change the way it presents itself to bolster recruitment and shares a few stories from his new book, 'Unbroken Bonds of Battle.'

It appears to be a matter of time before the U.S. energy sector becomes more reliant on a growing nuclear industry. This was a main focus of last week's Energy and Commerce Subcommittee hearing, where representatives discussed the merits of addressing the obstacles in the way of building more nuclear reactors in our country. Chairman of that subcommittee, Congressman Jeff Duncan, says unlike many issues in Congress, lawmakers on both sides of the aisle are committed to supporting America's future with nuclear energy. Rep. Duncan joins the Rundown to explain what Congress is doing to bring Americans nuclear power as soon as possible, why this specific issue has earned bipartisan support on the Hill, and what steps are being taken to ensure this technology will be implemented safely.

Plus, commentary by a former investment banker and author of 'You Will Own Nothing,' Carol Roth.
