Former President Donald Trump is in Florida to face his arraignment after he was federally indicted on 37 counts. The felonies he stands accused of involve removing highly classified documents from the White House following the end of his presidency and obstructing government efforts to retrieve them. It was just in March that the former president was indicted by a Manhattan grand jury for falsifying New York business records in order to conceal damaging information from voters during the 2016 election. George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley joins the podcast to break down the evidence in the case that could be potentially damaging for the Trump defense team. He explains what might happen if the former president is convicted and how this could become an issue in the 2024 election.

Within the past week, reports surfaced that China was seeking to establish a new eavesdropping facility in Cuba. These reports were originally labeled inaccurate by the White House; however, over the weekend, additional reporting confirmed that this Chinese spy base in Cuba actually already existed and had been operating since 2019. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) joins the Rundown to discuss how the problematic relationship between China and Cuba is a top foreign policy concern and why the Biden administration must act to combat the national security threat. He also goes further in-depth on how China is trying to outpace America as a world power and talks about his new book, ‘Decades of Decadence," which analyzes the actions Rubio asserts have left the US "on the brink of a cultural and economic crisis."
