“The Rise of A.I.”: Executives from Google, Microsoft, and OpenAI went to the White House this past week to discuss the risks associated with the recent rapid development of artificial intelligence technology.

Concerns over the potential consequences have been voiced by many AI researchers and experts, many of whom have given dire warnings and are even predicting the end of humanity if guardrails are not put in place.

However, there are still some in the scientific community who believe the technology can and will be harnessed for good.

Astrophysicist, author of “Starry Messenger,” and esteemed scientist Neil deGrasse Tyson joined The FOX News Rundown’s Lisa Brady to discuss the ongoing fears surrounding AI and put them in perspective.

Neil deGrasse Tyson explained that while some concerns are real, many are overblown. He also explained the benefits of rapidly advancing AI, the ways it is already being utilized daily by millions of Americans, and why he believes our culture will adjust to AI like it has to other technological advances.

The famous science communicator did explain some of his concerns about AI and the need for some rules. He even said AI’s harm could eventually change our society for the better, including potentially killing the internet.
