Namaste friends, welcome to Dil Se Dil Tak. I am Khushi and today's story is Dosti vs Dating. This story is about Mumbai, a city filled with dreams and crowd.
Two childhood friends, Arohi and Ranveer, used to live here. Both were around 23 years old. Since school days, they were best friends. Their friendship was no less than a filmic story. They lived in the same neighborhood in childhood. From school to playing cricket in the evening, they were always together.
After school, they would go back together, eat ice cream from the stall on the way, and stay at each other's house for a while before going home. Aarohi had to learn to ride a cycle as a child, so Ranveer would hold the cycle and handle it. Sometimes Aarohi would fall, so Ranveer would immediately pick her up and blow on her knee. Whereas Ranveer did not understand the homework of Maths, so Aarohi would explain it to him.
She would copy Ranveer's notes and spend hours explaining the questions to him. Gradually, their friendship deepened. After school, he came to college. If Ranveer had to give an interview for a job, Aarohi would be the first to prepare for it. Aarohi knew that Ranveer was fond of acting, so she had convinced him to join the theater.
Ranveer also knew that Aarohi wanted to become a writer, so he helped her write her first story. Gradually, the college ended and both got good jobs. Ranveer became an analyst in a finance company, while Aarohi started working as a copywriter in a marketing agency.

She said, "But Ranveer, all these are just things to show off. Everyone posts photos on social media. It is not necessary that they are really happy. Our friendship is so good. We don't need anyone else. We are happy together, right?" Ranveer agreed a little.
You are right, Aarohi. But sometimes it feels like we are not leaving behind. Everyone is dating, roaming around. Our life has become routine.
Aarohi slapped Ranveer on the shoulder. See, everything has its own time in life. Now our focus should be on career. The time of marriage and dating will come later. She was a junior from Ranveer. He didn't know her much in college. That girl was Sana. Sana came to Ranveer laughing. She said, "Are you Ranveer?" "I am Sana. I was your junior batch." Ranveer smiled and answered yes. Sana was very fast in talking. She told Ranveer some old stories of college life.
Ranveer also remembered some funny stories from his childhood. They both got so lost in the conversation that they didn't realize how much time had passed. It was time for the party to end. Ranveer liked talking to Sana. He thought he should take Sana's number. He went to Sana and said, Sana, this party was very funny. I liked talking to you. Can I take your number?
Sana smiled and said, "Sure, take it." A few days later, Ranveer got a call from Sana. Sana asked, "Ranveer, how are you? Let's meet sometime."
Ranveer liked this. He asked Sana to drink coffee. Sana also agreed. From that day, the conversation between Ranveer and Sana started. They both used to talk on the phone daily, message each other and even go to meet. Ranveer felt that he was starting to like Sana. One day Ranveer told Aarohi that he was meeting Sana. Aarohi was a little surprised to hear this.
She didn't like Ranveer spending so much time with another girl. But she wanted Ranveer's happiness too. So she didn't say anything. Time passed. Ranveer and Sana's meetings continued. Ranveer liked to hang out with Sana and talk to her. He used to tell Aarohi how good and fun-loving Sana is. Aarohi used to get jealous after hearing these things.
But she didn't want Ranveer to feel that she was being a burden to his happiness. One evening, Ranveer went to Aarohi's house after meeting Sana. He was looking very happy. "How was today, Ranveer?" Aarohi asked. "It was very good, Aarohi. We had coffee with Sana and then we went to visit Marine Drive. The weather there was very pleasant.
Ranveer told her with excitement, Wow, looks like you enjoy a lot with Sanna. Aarohi smiled and said, But she had a strange restlessness in her heart. Yes, she is a very good girl, Aarohi. We talk a lot. She also likes to roam around. Ranveer kept saying, Okay, so will you two always roam together? Aarohi's tone was a little sad.
Ranveer stopped. He recognized the sadness in Aarohi's voice. "It's not like that, Aarohi. I also go out with you, but it's a different fun with Sana. This dating seems very interesting."
