Just on the Broncos, Kevin Walters was asked this week about his future and all those sorts of things and boy didn't he bristle at some of the questions. As healthy and as energetic. I love this club, I love coaching here, I love working with these guys.

So, yeah, I'm ready to go this week. Give me a jersey and I'll run out, you know? You're the right man to coach the Broncos into the future, Kerry. I'm not even going to answer that, Joel. That's ridiculous. Yeah, well, you've been criticised, obviously. Yeah, but who's, you know, who's been critical? Like, they haven't been in here and had a look what we're doing. Yeah, that's a silly question, though.

What about Gordie though? Were you disappointed that he came out and said that Adam should be moved on and Carrigan should be captain? I just addressed that. I thought, yeah, that's not going to happen. He's our captain and as long as he's still playing, he'll remain our captain if

You've had some of your old boys, I know they're coming from a good place I suppose you would say, but I mean even Chris John said some of the players, you know, there are too many pats on the back and on TikTok too much. I mean, where do you make it? It's coming from some of the guys you've played with. Yeah, well I don't read any of that and I don't want to make a comment on it.

Yeah, so, look, that's just the nature of the beast. I would have thought, Big Mum, when you're not winning, you're under a bit of pressure, so those questions are going to be asked. Well, it's hard for him, mate. I mean, you know, he's with a side that are playing well under what they should be. You know, they played the grand final last year and probably, you know, were a couple of minutes away from winning that game.

But this year they've been awful. They've had a few injuries, but so has everybody else. You know, State of Origin, I think, hurts them more than most sides, if not maybe more than any other side. But they weren't going particularly well even before State of Origin started. And, you know, during that period, I think they've lost five of their last six or six of their last seven. It's not good enough. I'll tell you what it shows to me. It shows to me how important senior players are. When you're winning games and everything's going okay,

No one really notices who's a senior player and who's not because everything's going okay. But when you start to lose three, four, five out of six games as they have lost...

that's when senior players, they bring everything back to being real simple and they just say the right things throughout the week. And I think the fact they've lost guys like Flegler, was Tom Gilbert there last year? The centre, Farmworth, Herbie Farmworth was there. They lost three or four senior players. I know they had to sign a lot of young guys and keep a lot of young guys out of the club, which hopefully will pay off for them in years to come. They've got a lot of senior players there. They've got Reynolds. Reynolds has been out most of the year. Well, the last two or three games he's been out. Who else have they got? Well,

Patrick Carrigan's a senior player. Payne Huss is a senior player. I would have thought Billy Walters would be a senior player for them. I would have thought Katoni Staggs has been around long enough. They've got enough senior players there, in my opinion, to fix the problem. I think they've lost some really good senior players in Flegler, Herbie Farmworth, and I think Tom Gill was there. Capel. Capel was the other one, that's right. So they've lost three or four really good senior players, and I think

I think that's a downfall. They've lost that hard edge. All them guys you spoke about are great players. But I, in my opinion, they've been around for a couple of years, but they're not old hard heads like they've lost. And I think that's where they've struggled this year. They've struggled for that hard edge. They've been underwhelming still for their roster. Like, as you said, Big Man, sure, they've had some injuries. Most teams have, but...

They've got some quality players, the Broncos, and I think that's what's upsetting a lot of fans in the game is they've been underwhelming. You expect them to be better and to be getting more results.
