I've just checked in with Trevor Long too. He's looking into us and as soon as he gets some information, he'll call us. Jason's at Bathurst. Jason? How are you, mate? What's happening with you? Just come through Woolies. Everything's still working, but they're announcing they've got outages and technical issues that they're working on. Good on you, Jason. Appreciate that. Luke's at Minto. Luke?

Yeah, hi, Chris. Woolworths and BWS, the same, mate. Both no good. Okay. Good on you, Luke. Appreciate that. So let's just do a little update. Service NSW, all of them are out. Macquarie Bank, National Australia Bank, Bunnings, Woolworths, BWS, Dan Murphy's, Chemist Warehouse, Travelex, 13 Cabs, plus Major...

There's people saying there's a major manufacturers and other businesses are out with 400 employees. We're just going to stay with this for a second. Trevor Long's called in. He's a tech expert with EFTM.com. Trevor, what do we know? What's happening?

Look, I think we can assume there's an outage of some sort and we'd be cloud-based. There's talk about a company called CrowdStrike being a similar link between all these companies. So whether it's CrowdStrike or not, I should be clear, we don't know for sure. But basically, companies like CrowdStrike provide a level of security. They provide an interface to the outside world that should be secure and it stops things from coming in. So it could well be that that has either failed or...

actually has picked up on something major and therefore is actually preventing things from getting worse. So very hard to say at this early stage, but it would be likely that it's a third-party provider, given there's no clear link between each of these services. You know, services for Wells and Bunnings, two different things, right? So it would be a third-party provider. Sure. So...

We're hearing that Allianz is out. NRMA is out. People can't transfer money with St. George Bank. Foxtel's out. Phil reckons at Concord. He's on the line. I'll talk to him in a sec. He can't even watch TV, Trev.

I would say, listening to those comments and calls, I would say it feels like a network issue because think about when Optus went down. It was actually part of their network that failed and caused the rest of it to come down. So it could be that there's a strategic part of Optus

The internet in Australia, a network component, it could be one data centre, it could be one service provider, and they've had an issue, and that is causing everything else to go berserk because if all the checks and balances of a computer system are not in place, they might go to a failsafe.

Good on you, Trev. I appreciate that. Please just ring in as soon as you've got more information, okay? Will do. That's Trevor Long. Everyone else who's called in, please stay on the line. We are going to stay with this, but whatever has occurred, this is a major, major outage that's affecting all sorts of businesses.
